Name: "Beste Tiknaz and Peace Stars"

Concept:

"Beste Tiknaz and Peace Stars" has been created by Ms. Beste Tiknaz on the idea of connecting people through music. Idea is not only giving a message on significance of world peace but also using the power of music to help people find their inner peace.

Concept incorporates musicians from all over the world. The Project will start with Classical Music Concerts. However, this is an open concept to all kind of music and musicians to achieve a goal of reaching peoples’ soul. Repertoire will be including pieces throughout history as well as traditional examples from different countries.

Concerts will take place at Big Concert Halls as well as remote areas such as hospitals and nursing homes. This way music will reach to people who are not able to go to city concert halls. Education through music will also be an important function. Some of the concerts will be performed at Universities. During some, information will be given between tunes educating by engaging the audience. Program also may be supported within master lectures given by the artist.

Another goal of the project is to have a contribution on promotion of Turkey. As part of 2010 İstanbul European Capital of Culture Project, it will bring all the musicians together in a concert or concert series to give world the sound of peace.
